INDUSTRY & KNOWLEDGE

What other types of truck fittings are there? What are their uses?
There are many types of truck fittings, covering vehicle operation, control, maintenance and loading. They can usually be classified according to function and purpose. Each fitting has a specific role to ensure the performance, stability and safety of the vehicle.

Suspension system accessories, such as suspension springs, shock absorbers and air springs. The main function of these accessories is to buffer the vibration caused by uneven roads, protect the goods and improve driving comfort. Air suspension systems are often used in trucks that need to transport fragile or valuable items due to their sensitive response to vibrations to reduce damage caused by bumps.

Braking system accessories are the core of truck safe driving, including brake discs, brake pads, brake calipers and ABS sensors. These accessories ensure that the vehicle can quickly and smoothly slow down or even stop under any road conditions. The braking system of modern trucks is combined with an electronic control system to make the braking performance more precise, especially in mountainous areas or in harsh climates. The ABS system can prevent the wheels from locking and reduce the risk of accidents.

Transmission system accessories such as gearboxes, universal joints, drive shafts, etc. are responsible for transmitting the power of the engine to the wheels. Drive shafts and their related accessories are usually made of wear-resistant materials, capable of withstanding high loads and adapting to different terrain conditions. Transmission accessories (such as shift forks and gear sets) enable trucks to switch between low-speed high torque and high-speed low torque to meet the needs of different transportation tasks.

For trucks carrying goods, body and cargo compartment accessories are also critical. This includes guardrails, cargo compartment panels, floor anti-skid materials, and cargo fixing devices (such as tensioners and buckles). Guardrails and cargo compartment panels are used to protect cargo from slipping or damage, while floor anti-skid materials are often made of wear-resistant polymers to prevent cargo from shifting during movement. Tensioners and buckles ensure that large or heavy cargo remains stable during long-distance transportation and reduce potential dangers.

In heavy-duty vehicles, chassis and axle accessories are crucial, including axles, wheels, bearings, and spring pins. The combination of axles and chassis determines the vehicle's load-bearing capacity, and high-strength and durable chassis accessories can adapt to harsh transportation environments. Modern truck chassis are usually equipped with axles made of lightweight materials, and the weight is reduced through optimized design to improve fuel economy.

Lighting and electrical system accessories are another important component, including headlights, taillights, turn signals, fog lights and their control modules. These accessories ensure the visibility of the truck at night or in bad weather conditions, while significantly reducing energy consumption and increasing service life through advanced LED technology. The electrical system also includes on-board monitoring equipment, batteries, chargers, etc., which are used to power the electronic equipment of modern trucks, including navigation systems, on-board recorders and wireless communication equipment.

Cooling and lubrication system accessories play an important role in maintaining stable operation of the vehicle. Accessories such as radiators, cooling fans, and water pumps ensure that the engine does not overheat when running at high loads, which is especially important for long-distance transport vehicles. Lubrication system accessories, such as oil pumps and filters, can reduce friction between engine components, extend the service life of equipment, and reduce fuel consumption and emissions.

Tires and related accessories are also a key part of truck operation, covering tires, wheels, air pressure monitoring systems, etc. High-performance tires are made of special rubber materials and can maintain good grip at high loads and speeds. The tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS) monitors tire pressure in real time to reduce accidents caused by tire overheating or insufficient pressure.

Safety and comfort accessories are increasingly valued. This includes airbag seats, audio systems, cab air conditioning and multimedia equipment, which not only improve the driver's experience, but also reduce fatigue during long-distance driving. Modern truck seat design incorporates ergonomic principles to effectively relieve the pressure on the spine from long-term driving. In addition, many high-end trucks are also equipped with driver assistance systems such as lane departure warnings and adaptive cruise control systems to further improve driving safety.
